Photography is poetry, and song, and non-fiction, and fiction. It encompasses everything. Through it, I like to look for things that no one else catches. And, as I do, I amuse myself with the same question again and again: «What about this dance between life and light?»...The answer is the same again and again: capture it whenever you can and as many times as possible.
My name is Yésica Isabel
¡Hola!
I'm a Puerto Rican portrait and couples photographer, forever enamored with the little streets of Old San Juan and, of course, with all things bolero: slow days, love songs, and romance.
My love for photography stems from my parents' love of photography...
I still remember the serendipity of finding a secret album they had tried to keep from my sister and me for the longest time. It was dusty, and filled with film photos taken with their Canon AE-1 35 mm.
Plastic covers protected the cream-hued photos, but my parents' raw emotions were not covered at all. Here they were: YOUNG AND IN LOVE IN SAINT THOMAS! A secret world was unveiled.
My photography approach is cinematic, documentary, and rooted in place.
Each session is guided gently, allowing space for connection, movement, and authenticity.

"Meanwhile the world goes on. Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain are moving across the landscapes, over the prairies and the deep trees, the mountains and the rivers. Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air, are heading home again. Whoever you are, no matter how lonely, the world offers itself to your imagination, calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting -over and over announcing your place in the family of things."
